About the Course
Course Objective
The objective of this module is to provide fundamental understandings of Strength & Conditioning and how to physically prepare athletes.
You will start with the understanding of the role of strength & conditioning, learning the most important training principles, and the basic physiology of sport and exercise.
Finally, the course will provide a basic understanding of the main bio-motor abilities, strength, speed and endurance, and how to effectively train each of these bio-motor abilities.
Along the way, you will operationalize the key concepts of strength training, speed training and endurance training, and how to design training plans.

c) Tell how well they are performing and monitor their progress

The Team
Christian Bosse
Christian Bosse has over 17 years of experience working with young, professional, and elite athletes, including Olympic athletes on enhancing their performance to maximize their potential and reach their goals.
He has served as strength and conditioning coach/sport scientist at a professional level for governing bodies in different countries, adapting and understanding cultural differences to ensure success.
His background includes a Master’s Degree in International Sport Management at the Cruyff Institute, Netherlands, a Master’s Degree in Sports Science at the German Sports University Cologne, Germany, a Bachelor Degree in Sports Science and various certifications including Olympic Weightlifting and Tennis Coach Level 2.
Being passionate about attaining high levels of performance, he works hard to prevent injuries, apply an intensive use of technology to improve performance and planning the work and working the plan to make it happen.
Ramkiran Ballal
Ram has over two decades worth of experience in the areas of Health & Fitness for Adults and Young population.
For close to a decade now, he has trained children and young athletes in association with international coaches from Europe, and some of these children have gone on to participate in National and International events. He has also extensively conducted “Train the Trainer” programs over the years.
His vision is to not only change the health profile of the future generation but also enable a structure from which Olympic medalists and world champions are created not by accident but through a process.
Coursework
What to expect
Pre-session
Before the session begins, participants are expected to complete a pre-class reading assignment and attempt a quiz.
During Session
During the session, we will have live instruction interspaced with collaborative exercises in small groups. This will help you develop intuition for the core concepts and provide guidance on technical details.
Post-session
After the session, students are expected to complete a short post-class quiz based on the principal concepts covered in class.
